fandom: the vampire diaries
characters/pairings: caroline-centric, the originals, stefan, bonnie, elena and mentions of most of the ensemble. (mostly past!caroline/stefan, dark!caroline/klaus, illusions to caroline/elijah, and mentions of canon pairings.
rating: pg-13 (sexual references, character deaths (semi-minor), blood, death and all things related to vampirism.)
summary: Klaus's promise to stay away from Caroline, from Mystic Falls had been a lie hidden in the truth. He had never offered freedom, at most he offered slow suffocation, his hand so gentle she would barely feel the weight of it until it was too late. Now, Caroline has spent years running. Terrified of what happens when Klaus finally catches her, becoming new shells of herself every time she runs. But now new Originals seem to be nipping at her heels and she's tired of running and scared of who she's becoming, of what she's becoming, scared of the strangers she sees when she looks in the mirror. (AU Mid-S5 after 5x15 and goes from there.)

This post is half pimpage and half a reminder to myself about the things I’ve signed up for and want/need to finish. Because, yeah, I sign up for a lot of things.
I have no self-control, it’s a problem.
+Het-Big Bang: Okay, this one I totally missed the deadline for already. It’s gone and past and everything was just posted a few days ago. But I’m determined to finish this story anyways, just to prove to myself that even if I can’t finish a big bang, I can still finish the story. And also, I really like the idea for the story.
It’s an AU Caroline/Klaus story set after 3x21. Klaus may not really be dead, but he’s haunting Caroline anyways, and he won’t stop until she wakes him up. It’s a story I’ve really wanted to write for a while now, because I love exploring the fucked up sides of Klaroline and I have a thing about dream manipulation and this story is full of it. I have a little over 17k and I’m so close to finishing, I just need to do it.
+cwbigbang: This one I highly encourage everyone to go sign up for, because I’m a co-mod and I said so. (Also our sign-up pages are kind of sad). It’s all shows on the CW new and old and a good amount of one’s associated with the CW due to the WB.
I’m still figuring out for sure what I want to write for this one, but I recently started an Amesia!Chloe fic for SV, an exploration of a plotline I read once that could have been but wasn't (but would have been amazing and full of Chlex-y goodness or at least that's how it is in my head) and I’m super excited about it (and for getting my Chloe muse back), so I’m thinking I'll be trying for this one.
+rare_bb: Rare pairings, rare fandoms, rare crossovers; if it’s rare, it’s included. And I’m a sucker for a rare anything.
This is my human!Caroline escaping Mystic Falls and dealing with the fallout by not really dealing with it at all (denial and Caroline are very close friends) but when she stumbles upon Alaric on campus, it changes everything story. I have over 11k in notes and snippets and if I can just form it into an actual story with a plot, I’ll be super happy. Also, I’ve wanted to write Caroline/Alaric for like ever, for reasons I can’t even explain to you.
+royaltystory: Pretty self-explanatory, royalty just has to play a part in the story, whether it’s in the past, the present, the future, or off in some galaxy far far away.
Mine is based around the line Klaus said in “Dangerous Liaisons” that the bracelet he gave to Caroline once belonged to a princess. In this story, that princess was her, going back and forth between Caroline of now and the Caroline of then, and it explains why Klaus fell so hard so fast for her.
+genderswapbb: I asked the mod and it allows for the switching of already established male or female characters into the other’s role, and this is an idea I love, so I couldn’t stop myself.
I’m going with an AU version of Smallville, where Tess Luthor comes to Smallville to run the plant and hits Chloe with her car and how canon changes with these two very different characters taking over the lead roles. (Clark becomes her best friend with a tendency to stick his foot in his mouth, Lois becomes the infamous green archer though I don’t know if we’ll get that far, and Oliver becomes Clark’s reporter cousin. Most of the other characters are still being figure out). I’ve had this idea for a while, so I’m excited to have a reason to force myself to work on it.
So this has been a post, mostly for me as reminder, but also to encourage someone other than me to go sign up for things and make me feel better about myself. So yeah, this has been a selfish post of me wanting to suck you all down with me. I’m sorry. But also, I’m really not.

Aug. 19th, 2013 08:15 pmSo, het-big bang stories are due the 27th by midnight and I'm finally in that place where I'm starting to panic a bit. (Sometimes a lot, it really just depends on the day.)
I signed up for the little bang, which should make it easier because its a smaller word count and less stress in general because you don't have an artist to disappoint if you can't manage to get it done. But I was really really hoping that this would be the big bang I finished. I've lost count of the amount I've signed up for (I have no self control when it comes to these things) but I've never completed one. So I'm really hoping this one gets finished.
And there's still a good chance it will be, I know that. But right now the story's not finished, none of its been betaed (I don't even have a beta), and while I have an ending planned, I also have a lot of missing pieces of how to get there, and there are sections of my story I don't even like. And yeah, panic mode is currently flipped to the on position.
So yeah. This is a post. A neurotic post, written by a neurotic person. Sorry you had to read it.

Oct. 28th, 2012 06:25 pmSo today is the day I'm supposed to have my vampirebigbang fic up. Actually I was supposed to have it posted on the 26th, but I had an allergic reaction on Wendesday and ended up having to go to the ER. It wasn't like crazy serious but it freaked me out a lot (I freak out easy but things like hives and swelling make it so much worse) and I've been on a bunch of drugs since that have me sleeping far more than normal. I think I missed most of Thursday. The mods were very nice and said to just try to post it by today, but that's just not going to happen. I haven't even touched the file since everything and there's a couple of really big and necessary scenes that I've barely even started writing.
Please give some love todelugedpapercup and the amazing fanmix she made me, please. She took the mess of a rough draft I sent her and made a wonderful mix that I've been listening to when writing. She deserves lots of love and I feel the worst about letting her down and not posting my story to go with it

In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc.).

It really really is. And I'm not even attempting to write my story right now. I'm attempting to write my summary for the story and it keeps coming out horrible. And I'm like 'my story is better than this summary' and I don't even mean it like I think my story is amazing. Its not. It needs so much work and its not even complete yeet. But its still better than what I'm coming out with for the summary. Anything would be better. And all I can think is no one will want to do my artwork because they'll see this summary and scroll far far away.
Yeah, my neurotic streak is coming out full force tonight. I apologize for you having to witness it.

And am still currently trying to get my act together, because that's just who I am. Right now I'm stressing about the title and summary. So I was hoping maybe my lovely lovely f-list could help me out. (And I'm so not against bribery)
