No seriously, I didn't freak out/squeeze anyone's fingers until they lost feelings or try to run away at any time. I'm incredibly proud of myself. It wasn't a fun experience by any means but I did it. Honestly I think the worst part was after they gave me the anaceptic, because it made my heart race and the dentist basically described it to me as speeding everything up, but he didn't explain that until after I started having all of these feelings (apparently most people don't even notice the change in their bodies, to which I say, HOW?) and so I freaked out a little thinking I was having an allergic reaction/panic attack or both.
They should really tell you about that in advance.
My jaw still hurts and I'm nervous about eatting on that side of my mouth, but its over with. SO YAY! Thank you for all the good thoughts and wishes and love. And I love you all, you will be getting lots of comments today. And long distance hugs.

Date: 2014-06-13 11:33 pm (UTC)• The first character I fell in love with: I watched the show so out of order originally, it’s hard to say. I’m going to go with Oz though. I LOVE Oz to extreme levels and he really had me at first sight. I didn’t need big plotlines, I just needed him and his talk of monkey pants or his seeing Willow in her Eskimo costume and wanting to know who she was. He was just perfect.
• The character who is my ‘baby’: Dawn. I’m overly protective of Dawn because apparently fandom hates her and I over relate to her (younger sister, over protected, never allowed to do things, and forced to grow up too young) and I just don’t understand why people hate her so much. You certainly don’t have to like her/have her on your favorites list. I just don’t understand the hate. She’s such a beautifully crafted character to me.
• The character who I do not understand: Despite really enjoying S6 and a lot of things they did that season, I never really liked the Trio/understood why they decided lets be super-villains that go after the Slayer. It just didn’t make sense to me. And while each of them had their moments where they were interesting, I never really cared about any of them.
• The character that I think the show ruined: Riley. I LOVE S4 Riley and his relationship with Buffy. They make sense and are cute and neither one has to lie about who they are to each other. But S5, it was like they needed for Riley to leave and they just completely destroyed his character in the process and then blamed Buffy it. And I just, that’s not right at all, on any level. She was dealing with so much and was so young, it wasn’t her job to make Riley her top priority. And I can understand Riley struggling with semi-civilian life but the ways they had him deal with it, just didn’t seem like S4 at all. I don’t know, it was just confusing. I think they got lost with whatever they were trying to do.
• The most attractive male and female character: I’m not going to lie, I have a major crush on Giles, so he might win for me. It doesn’t hurt that he has the accent. But all the boys were pretty. And I think Cordelia wins for me (Buffy coming in a very very close second, because Buffy and her hair is gorgeous.)
• The character death that was the worst for me: Joyce’s death is probably the worst for me, because it’s so realistic (which was the point of course) and the before, where they spend so much time in the hospital trying to get her better and Buffy and Dawn taking care of her. It all just hits too close to home even though I’ve never lost my own mother. Anya’s death also always gets to me, despite it being in the last episode and there not being a lot of time for characters to process it.
• The character that is the most like me: Oh, um, a combination. Kinda of a spaz/definitely a younger sister living in the shadow of her older sister like Dawn. I lack a filter at times/love money like Anya. I’m a total control freak like Willow. And I’m shy but protective of those I love like Tara. I’m also sarcastic like pretty much everyone on the show.
• The character I think the writer(s) love: Not necessarily in a bad way, but you could always tell how much the writer’s loved Spike. That’s how he got such a big role in the first place in the later seasons.
• The character that I just want to be happy: Buffy. Poor Buffy, such a hard life from season one on. I was actually quite happy that the show ended on her saying that she was still in the process of figuring out who she was and that she couldn’t be with someone until she had figured that out, that was what I always wanted for her. My OTP for her has always been Buffy/Happiness. Because there’s not enough of it on the show.
• My four favorite characters, past or present: Buffy, Dawn, Giles, Oz (and lots of others, but top four. I’d include Cordelia too because I loved her on Buffy, but she’ll be talked more about in the Ats section.)
• My four least favorite characters, past or present:Warren, Andrew, Jonathan (ha, three right there!), and…Maggie Walsh maybe. (She could have been way more awesome, but nope, she choose evil.)

Date: 2014-06-21 04:41 pm (UTC)Dawn makes for a good baby when you love her considering how much hate she gets, the only thing that really bugged me about her was her screechy voice. What I liked most about her was that she was just a typical teenager, minus the whole being a key part. My baby though is Cordelia again, my love for Cordelia actually rivals my love for Chloe, to give you an idea of how much I love her. <3
The trio was nonsensical, such a typical the writers-ran-out-of-ideas storyline. I guess it was also a lame attempt to bring back the geek-talk that Xander and Oz indulged in.
Yes, Riley definitely is one of those characters that was sacrificed for the sake of breaking up a relationship and wanting to drop a storyline as soon as possible.
Giles is a very worthy person to have a crush on. ;) My heart got stolen by James though. <3 And I obviously agree with you on the most attractive female. Charisma. <3 Though all the other females are very attractive too. :)
All the deaths were the worst! Joyce's with the no-music, such a stroke of genius and all the pain and hardship leading up to it, the shock of the stray bullet tearing through Tara and of course Anya, brave over a 1000 year old Anya picturing demons as bunnies to get herself in attack-mode, and the way she went with that blade slicing her body in two. Great now I'm talking myself close to tears. :.(
Heh, I agree, the writers loved Spike, not that I'm complaining since it's one of the rare occasions that I share the writers love (except for the act that shall not be named of course).
And yes, Buffy definitely deserves all the happiness, but so do all the characters. Happiness for everybody, please. :(
Nice favorites, though only one of them makes it onto my top 4 list. :) Mine are Cordelia, Oz (that's the one we share:D), Spike and wow, uhm, who do I like from the others slightly more than the rest? I guess I'll go with Anya. :)
Don't like the ones you don't like either, though I like most of the potentials even less than Andrew and Jonathan (why did they have to ruin Jonathan?), but yes, Maggie definitely makes my list too. :)
In conclusion, obviously we have the best opinions of the Buffy characters. haha. <3
