When Dean sleeps, unless he senses danger nearby, he’s pretty much dead to the world for as long as it will allow it. Chloe can only sleep so long before her fingers start to get itchy and she misses her computer. And coffee. But to make waking up easier on Dean she peppers him with kisses, and promises him coffee.
But it’s on the other side of the room. Where she’ll be waiting for him when he finally gets out of bed.
•who cooks for who
Yeah, they aren’t really the cooking type. And even if they were, living out of motel rooms most of the time doesn’t allow for it. Mostly it’s just diner and fast food and the occasional Bart delivery of that Thai food she misses from Metropolis that Dean doesn’t know how she gets.
But when they do stay at her apartment (more Lois’ after everything), sometimes he makes her pancakes in the morning. He isn’t allowed anywhere near the coffee machine though. He tried once. It did not end well for him. (Sam isn’t allowed to touch it either though and that makes him feel a little better.)
•who is the morning person/night person
They’re both night people in general, it’s in their blood and their occupations. All the creepy crawlies come out at night and most of the League’s missions took place at night too, so they’ve both been trained for it.
They both need coffee before their fully functional in the morning in a non-crisis situation.
•who is the romantic one
Dean, but he’s very subtle about it, most people wouldn’t even notice half of the things he does as romantic, because they don’t know him. But he remembers all the important dates and he offers her half his pie and he lets her drive the Impala when she’s having a bad day or is too worried about him because of a bad hunt and sometimes he lets her wear his leather jacket, the one that belonged to his father, because she’s cold.
There all little things, but they add up to a lot. And Chloe notices all of them, knows the importance, but never pushes the issues because she knows it will just make Dean clam up and it’s not what he’s looking for. It’s her own form of Dean specific romance. Acknowledging and not acknowledging the things he does at the same time.
•sex dynamics
Dean has always flirted with her, since the first time he met her he’s never stopped since. But it took him a while to realize that it was more than just flirting for her too, that they had something more than that, something special. (There might have been a talk with Sam involved.) And after he got the green light and all things were ago, he was more than willing to take the lead and most of the time, Sammy had to get his own room from there on out. There always next to each other though, because they’re Sam and Dean and it’s safer that way, but sometimes Sam’s wishes he could switch rooms because of all the noise.
•who would lead in ballroom dancing
Dean would technically lead, but he would be horrible at it, and most of the dance would be spent with Chloe laughing and him grumbling. But Chloe likes to dance and he doesn’t like the idea of her dancing with anyone else, so when forced into the situation, he does it for her. And eventually learns to dance well enough not to step on her toes.
•who is the more cuddly one
Chloe. She likes to wrap herself around him, whether it’s just his arm as they walk back to the hotel at night or if it’s in bed as their trying to sleep. He’s warm and comfortable and makes a good pillow and she likes knowing he’s there, even in her sleep. Chloe’s always the one who initiates it, but Dean never complains.
•who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch
Dean almost always controls the remote in the hotel room, and when given the opportunity he tries to educate her in what he considers the classics of cinema. The fact that she’s seen only one Godzilla movie seriously disturbs him.
•who is the one who would pay for dates
Dean always tries to pay, but Chloe can only take so much of the fake credit cards before it starts to bother her. So eventually they start splitting the checks or taking turns.

Date: 2014-03-28 09:34 pm (UTC)And I love the parts where one of them does something for the other (Dean's romantic gestures, Chloe's cuddling) and the other one just silently accepting it without making any kind of deal out of it because that's exactly how I think they would act in an established relationship, a lot of quiet understandings and acknowledgements because that's just who Dean is when it comes to his affections, showing them through actions rather than telling, and after past experiences (including times where she knows her words didn't reflect her actions) Chloe has learned to appreciate that and appreciate that when he does say those three little words it has that much more meaning because she knows he wouldn't say it unless he really meant it.
And obviously there wouldn't be much cooking going on in this relationship but I actually have a head canon where Chloe learns to bake pies for Dean because she knows that's a romantic gesture he will gladly accept and food being one of the earliest languages of love she has a memory of, with her dad making her waffles to cheer her up after her mom is gone and it always remaining a language of love between her and her dad, so it has a special place in her heart.

I think I have them in Division, post-Division, and Michael in Division and Chloe never having been a part all in here at some point. But pretend it’s all cohesive, okay? Also this was fun and let me play with my new favorite crossover pairing. So yay, thank you for picking them!)
•who wakes the other one up with kisses
Michael has never really gotten passed his Navy days of waking up before the sun and it’s not unusual for him to wake Chloe up to make good use of their time before they have to go out and save the world, or at least part of it. Other days, he finds her asleep on the couch, her computer still in her lap, and kisses her awake before starting the coffee.
•who cooks for who
They don’t usually have a lot of time for cooking. At the most its take-out or leftovers from a restaurant. Sometimes they don’t even eat together at all, considering everything. But sometimes Michael tries to make something for her. She tried once too. It did not end well. (Sullivan-Lane women just weren’t meant to cook, it’s in their genes.)
•who is the morning person/night person
Chloe can stay up for days if the mission calls for it, and is often up late into the night researching for missions or possible future missions. It’s a habit she’s never really gotten out of. And even if she doesn’t have anything to do, she stays up and watches the late shows.
Michael stays up as late as any mission or op calls for, but he has a routine he follows on his nights off. Asleep by ten and up at four thirty. It’s one thing about him that Chloe doesn’t really understand.
•who is the romantic one
Michael is traditionally romantic; he holds open doors and holds her hand and kisses her head when she’s upset. He never forgets any of the important dates, down to the first time he met her and up to the first day they got together, and all the events in between.
•sex dynamics
Chloe is the first one to make a move; to kiss him, to invite more, to make it into something more. She’s the one leading the show and setting the pace. But once they’re in a relationship and on equal footing, things even up more. Michael’s more than happy to initiate things as well.
They have one rule. Never in Division or on a mission. No matter what the circumstances or who’s running it.

Michael, he’s well trained, but so is Chloe and they put on a pretty awesome display. Nothing to flashy, they don’t want to draw attention to themselves, but they definitely have moves.
•who is the more cuddly one
Chloe’s the cuddler, even in her sleep she holds on to him. He thinks it’s almost like she’s afraid if she lets go, he’ll disappear.
•who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch
Chloe, though she usually forces him to watch television shows instead of movies. He’s seriously lacking in the pop culture reference department and she’s going to fix that. Besides, watching them with Birkoff is just not the same as watching them with Michael.
•who is the one who would pay for dates
Ever the traditionalist, Michael attempts to pay for most of their dates. Ever anything but a traditionalist, Chloe fights him on it most of the time, telling him she can pay her own way in the world. (She has more than enough money stashed away.) Michael tries to counter by saying that he has a paying income (even if it’s from Division) and she should save her money for more important things, like upgrades to her security system. It does not get him very far. Mostly it just gets him glared at.

Date: 2014-03-28 08:58 pm (UTC)Anyway, love your answers, and I think most of them work pretty well independent of the setting of the story, except for the one of who makes the first move, at least imo, I think that would vary depending on the story. Also, I'm of the firm belief that any person who can read and possesses a normal level of intelligence can cook if they really want to, at least simple meals, since there's such a thing called recipes all you gotta do is follow the instructions (baking is another story 'cuz there actually seems to be some kinda voodoo involved to let the baked goods turn out right). Also, what Chloe cooked at the end of Stiletto seemed edible. That said I can very well picture that Chloe is usually just too impatient for cooking and gets too easily distracted from it by all the other things she has to do and that's why cooking accidents happen when she's cooking. But like I said if she really wanted to cook something successfully to make somebody happy she would be able to because she's smart!
Also, the who gets to pay bit I can see playing out various ways, so, I find it interesting that you think they would have arguments over it, which definitely is one of the scenarios I could see playing out for it. But also, Chloe not really caring about it mainly because she knows that's just who Michael is and she thinks it's silly to fight over something so mundane, especially when there are others of Michael's traditional guy manners that bug her much more. And another would be Michael dropping the matter as soon as Chloe says she wants to pay for herself, one because he knows better than to fight her on something like that and two because while he is a traditional guy he knows how to pick his battles with a modern day independent woman.
