lynzie914Yeah, so I'm kind of late on these. Its been a crappy week and the meme and other things got put off. But now you get multiple ships in one day!
Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
Stefan/Caroline
This could be such an amazing pairing if the writers just let us have it. It would be the type of relationship that grew out of friendship and understanding, that I don’t think these two characters could have with any of the other characters on the show (not to knock other pairings, I just think those relationships would bring different things to the table). I think Stefan is one of the few people to fully see Caroline for who she is and who she can be, he doesn’t have an idealistic view of her and he doesn’t’ try to make her into something that she’s not. I think out of anyone Stefan is actually the one with the most faith in Caroline and what she can handle. And again, I think Caroline sees Stefan for who he is, and having gone through her own transformation I think she has a lot of respect for the choices that he’s made because she knows how difficult it is for him to be with Elena and not hurt her, to make the choice not to drink human blood. I also think that he’s one of the few people in her life that she trusts completely, when she has a problem he’s the first one she goes too because she knows he’ll help her without wanting something in return, without blaming her for how she got there.
And on a much shallower note, they just look far too pretty together not to be a couple! That alone, is good enough of a reason.
Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
Michael/Nikita
Okay, this one was hard. Because chemistry I really think is a subjective thing. I’ve thought pairings have had amazing chemistry and other have disagreed and vice versa. But I went with these two because I think they’re chemistry is always apparent no matter what they’re doing. Whether it’s a flashback to them working together, the two of them working together in the present with so much more baggage attached, or the two of them on opposite sides pointing guns at each other, you can always feel it there. And it drives their scenes and makes them even more interesting.
Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?
Chloe/Jimmy
It’s so weird for me to choose a Chloe pairing for this, because I ship her with so many different people. Honestly, I think I’ve shipped her with almost every other male on the show besides Jimmy. (And some of the girls too). I really wish that I could have loved the pairing, it was so much of both characters storylines from S6 and beyond, but I could just never get into it. They had these cute moments occasionally but when they were in scenes together, I could never feel that tension that I did with other pairings on the show. I mean, by the time S7 rolled around I was completely tired of Clana, but I could still see chemistry there that I never saw with Chloe and Jimmy. I think that separately they were two awesome characters (Jimmy will forever be my Jimmy Olsen for SV, no matter what his gravestone may say his first name is) but that they worked better as friends, not as a couple. It always felt too forced, like they were trying to be something that they weren’t and they knew they didn’t fit, but were in denial about it.
Day 06 - The best kiss?
Again I think this is a very subjective question and honestly, I don’t know how to judge it properly. So I’m just going to go with my favorite kiss of the moment. And again, I feel like the couple shouldn’t be that surprising to anyone. XD But I love this kiss, I got ridiculously excited when we saw it in the comic-con season preview and even more excited when it finally aired as a flashback in Supergirl. For me, even though we had already seen them together, this was the perfect first kiss for them. It was fun and flirty, but with this intensity and passion that shows what would come for them. And I love that they were all handsy. XD I mean, really I don’t think they could have been any closer to one another.
Day 07 - The most heartbreaking scene?

Personally, I don’t know how this scene couldn’t break someone’s heart, no matter if you ship them or not. It never fails to make me tear up and when I first watched it, I cried like a baby. They were just so close to that happily ever after and it had taken them so long to get there, and then it was just ripped away from them so quickly. And he had to watch as she died this horrific and painful death slowly right in front of him, when there was nothing he could do to save her, to make it any better for her. And then after she died, he was forced to face the things that killed her in her body, that still looked like her. No matter how many times I watch it and despite knowing that it will always happen, it still breaks my heart every time.
Side note, Joss Whedon likes his heartbreaking moments a little too much. Most of my list of possibilities came from his shows. Because even pairings that weren’t my main ships, still had moments that make me cry no matter how many times I see them. Curse you Joss Whedon!

Yes, this! When he was allowed to be who he was supposed to be- a photographer and investigating with Lois and Clark, he was perfect. I hate that the show killed him off and stripped him off his identity. :(

*nods* Summed up perfectly. They loved each other but just were wrong for each other. Jimmy was Chloe's shot at normalcy and since the whole being a meteor mutant freaked her out, I felt like she was trying to cling on to any normalcy she could get.
Also, the Chlollie kiss was awesome. Like you said, it was a perfect kiss for them. I love how they were both looking at each other and then both went for it. The kiss itself was very hot too and gah, JH's arms in that pic! *dies*

I mean here was this genuinely nice guy who liked Chloe and wanted to be wiith her. But your right, the break-ups and the make-ups and the jealousy/triangles and trust issues, it just seemed like they were stuck in some sort of a loop. Once they finally got Jimmy to get past her relationship with Clark, there was Davis to take his place and the loop started again.
Plus, thanks to the jealousy, I didn't get much of a Clark-Jimmy friendship and they had so much potential (as shown in 'Identity' and 'Doomsday').
I very much agree with this. I always loved Clark Jimmy moments, they seemed like they could be awesome friends, like what I think they're suppose to be in the comics. (I'm basing that on my very limited knowledge) But it never really got a chance to happen and I was always sad that it didn't.
Exactly! My favorite Jimmy was Daily Planet photographer Jimmy, who was eager to work and fun and I always loved his scenes with Lois. They just had this awesome dynamic and the one thing I was happy about with his exit in Doomsday is that they did let him have one last scene with Lois and Clark. But I defenitely hate that they did that too him. I think that might just be the one thing that the SV fandom as a whole agrees upon. Which I think is kind of saying something considering how divided the fandom tends to be.

I love you for this, because this is my exact theory on Chimmy. They loved each other, but were never in love. Chloe had this crazy life, some of it her choosing but a lot of it wasn't, and she just wanted something that was away from that, and Jimmy was that for her. I love that they both went for it too! And OMG YES! His arms in there are amazing. If for some reason I ever had to chose my favorite actor's arms (idk why this would happen but there are all kinds of meme's out there) he would win hands down.

Date: 2011-03-26 11:41 pm (UTC)My knowledge on the comics is limited too but yeah, they could've been awesome. I blame AlMiles (like I do for most things). If they hadn't been so obsessed with triangles, we could've had more awesome friendships in general. It's amazing they managed to get the Chlo-Lo and Chlark friendship right (for the most part). Even the latter only really worked because I heard AM was very adamant about Chloe getting to move on from Clark.
I loved the Lois & Jimmy scenes. They cracked me up. I'm a little sad that Lois never acknowledged Jimmy's death in s9. I feel Chloe tried to tell her in 'Savior' but they just never brought up it again.

Yes, I think the majority of fandom was united in their hatred over 'Doomsday', which is a first but it's sad that it takes such an awful episode to get fandom to unite.

Exactly. Otherwise, it didn't make any sense for those two to get married. I honestly thought she would say 'no'. Your reasoning is the only thing that makes sense. Besides, if she had truly thought that he was the right one for her, she wouldn't have been tempted by Davis. I think she must've known, as we did, that Jimmy wasn't "the one".
Clearly, Lois knows best. Chloe should've listened to her. She was very anti-Chimmy and totally pro-Chlollie. XD
One of the many reasons I love Chlollie is that it allowed Chloe to be a sexual woman. The show put her in a box- with a few exceptions in s8 (she looked beautiful in that gold nightgown in the Chlavis dream scene but they ruined it with the shot of Clark's severed body. Gah, that almost gave me nightmares.) but her relationship with Oliver changed that. In a good way. :)
And yes, JH has the best arms. He definitely would win "best arms". I'm sure there's a meme like that somewhere. ;)

Just being honest! ♥ I mean, everyone is usually like, "Oh, no, x ship doesn't have chemistry and y is so much better. Nobody every gets that, "umm, there's a reason that some people see it and you don't. And it isn't that they're wrong/you're right." Sorry to ramble. SV fandom is batshit and I like finding the sane ones.
