Thank you! I'm happy to let you send them my way. If nothing else it would be a welcome distraction. (Things are mostly better for the original source of this post, but then other things happened, and it got worse in other ways, and then you know those migraines that always have the best of timing came to just make everything better.) But I'll get over it all, and I appreciate the sentiment. And all the nice messages that people have left for me. Plus the added bonus of doing a meme to distract me from it all.

I love all your choices, even the curtain one, and I'll get to them. But I need time to ruminate on ideas. So instead, you get the ficlet that you didn't technically ask for, but we both know you wanted. XD

Chloe/Dean, road trip (though it's not an AU really, because there whole life is a road trip basically.)

“I still don’t know why we couldn’t have just taken my car.” Dean grumbled from the passenger feet. His knees were shoved up, even with the seat all the way back, and when they hit a bump, he sometimes hit his head on the ceiling.

Chloe could only imagine what would have happened if it had been Sam forced into the car with her.

“Because,” Chloe emphasized, “You’re kind of a mass murderer at the moment. Sam too.”

“I am not a mass murderer.” Dean said shoving a finger in her direction.

“Well, I know that and you now that, but you and your face and your car are all over the news. And no matter how many times you change your license plates, eventually someone is going to realize who it is living in the hotel room next to them and call 911.”

Chloe swore she had explained this to him plenty of times before, enough to get through his thick skull. Eternal optimism, who knew she had it?

“Still.” Dean said, “You need more room in this thing.”

“All extra space is used up hiding weapons and electronics,” Chloe rolled her eyes, “And they were all here before you. So get over it, princess.”

“Fine,” He huffed, such a little boy. She hoped Bobby wasn’t getting this kind of behavior from Sam, as it was, Dean was already possibly going to end up shot. They didn’t need both Winchesters out of commission when they finally got to the hunt.

They stopped at a red light and Dean’s hand reached out to fiddle with the radio, find some classic rock station she was sure.

She put her hand over his and smiled sweetly, “Driver picks the music; shotgun shuts his cake hole.”

His mouth dropped and she turned back to the road, grinning.



All other prompts are on their way, I promise. This one just came easier. (It made my Chloe/Lex muse jealous and is mad at me now I think.

Oh, sorry to hear that, life sucks that way that one bad thing very rarely comes alone, here's hoping that things start to look better for you healthwise and otherwise very soon.

And of course I will NEVER say no to some Chlean! And I love this! Poor Dean cramped up in a car that's two sizes too small for him, though of course Chloe is right, better him than Sam in Chloe's later seasons cars, I always found it kinda sad that they got rid off her mustang, 'cuz I can totally picture Chloe as a character-car gal. And since you incorporated Dean's taste in music I would like to know for the character meme if you maybe have a headcanon for Chloe's taste in music, I mean we know that back in season one of her favorite songs was 'Perfect memory', alternative rock, but personally I'm not inclined to give it too much weight since 1) it's her favorite from her teen years and at least my taste in music changed since my teenage years, and 2) the fact that it's a Remy Zero song and it having being chosen more for the show than the character, imo. Anyway, now thinking about it I guess I probably would consider Chloe a mood listener, you know someone who listens to all kinds of music, and what to at any given time depends on the mood she's in or what she's doing. But I also once again really like her reasoning for the various songs she listens to in Special Projects.

And hah! I know that feeling that's how my Chloe/Dean muse feels when I get ideas for other pairings, or fanarts for other pairings come out better than the Chloe/Dean stuff. :/ Muses are such emotional beings.
Also, I can't wait for the rest. :D

No one should ever say no to Chlean. I mean is it even possible to say no to it? I was picturing it all happening in her red bug, because that was my favorite car for her after they got rid of her S1 mustang that must of been hurt in the twister or something. (Which is sad.) So even less space, really for Dean. Or at least that's how I picture it. And yeah, I like the idea of Chloe knowing her cars or at least knowing what she likes when it comes to cars and appreciating the Impala and anything else that might be found at Bobby's.

I haven't even started the character meme yet, it will come tomorrow (maybe? as you can see I'm slowly working my way through all of this and there's a lot of fic involved. I'm having problems keeping things short.) But I'll give you my headcanon for her musical tastes.

I'd agree with you; in my mind she has an eclectic style, a whole bunch of things mixed in there. She was very into alternative styles in her youth and that stuck, but her dad played the oldies around the house when she was younger (and they spent more time together) so she knows all the lyrics to the Beatles songs and Simon and Garfunkle. And then there was of course Lois, whose taste was far more hardcore, but eventually started to rub off and she'd find herself singing Whitesnake songs in the shower or waiting in traffic. She likes female vocalists and she likes to think its the feminist in her, but she doesn't really know. (And in any verse where she and Dean meet, he's surprised by her AC/DC knowledge that she has her father to thank for.)

Muses really are emotional. And have a tendency to throw tantrums. Something obviously must be done.

well, I'm sure there are strange people out there who would say no to Chlean, so obviously they don't know what's awesome. ;) And yes, the red bug definitely was my second favorite Chloe car, it fit her spunk. And honestly I'm always surprised that considering most characters on Smallville didn't swim in money they could afford to get new cars that often. I mean most people of their financial status drive their cars until they break down and fixing them would be more expansive than getting a new car and I can't recall any of the cars actually having a total loss. Though the miraculously appearing new cars allow for a variety of interesting headcanons. :D

Yay, more Chloe stuff we agree on. :D I can totally picture Chloe's dad listening to oldies and classic rock and singing along off-key while doing various chores around the house or driving the car or under the shower. Driving Chloe crazy most of the time but every now and then she indulges him and sings along as well, and when she moves out she actually misses it and starts to do it more frequently herself to fill the quiet, and when she joins the Winchesters on the road Dean singing along to his music is actually one of the things that make her feel most at home in the Impala.

Definitely, we need to discipline our muses and get them to do what we want them to do WHEN we want them to do it.

Yes, but those people don't count. Like you said, they don't know what's awesome and they're obviously not open to being taught. ;D LOL, its true. Smallville went through so many cars for people with such small incomes. I know it mostly comes from the show itself and product placement, so it was always interesting to come up with headcanons for it. Though I know the Kents went through A LOT of trucks by the end of the series and you just know Lex has a garage somewhere full of cars, because his tend to get damaged as well. And at least the one time Lois got the new car they specifically had her say it was a gift from her father, because realistically at that time, she wouldn't have been able to get a car that nice with a job at the Talon. (Unless Lex was paying his workers extremely well, LOL.)

LOL, I always love it when we agree on Chloe stuff. And I can so see Gabe driving her crazy with it, but at the same time, it was one of their things. So now it only brings back fond memories for her and like you said, I can easily imagine her slipping in her earphones and listening to it when it got too quiet and she was in research mode. Something familiar to make it all easier.

Yep. Send them to muse boot camp maybe? That should be a thing if it doesn't exist.
