I 100% agree with you on everything Steroline! I actually think, especially for TVD standards, the show is handling them quite well. And it was a good way to let Stefan act like a jerk, because it's understandable and forgiveable (since he was acting out of grieve and trying to figure out a way how to just be without his brother and the likely prospect of never seeing him again, and lets face it he's the only one of them who can even begin to understand what it's like to live eternity without somebody) but not excusable because at the end of the day bad behavior never is. And it's good that he acted that way not just in general but to Caroline, so that like you said she would realize that Stefan is just as capable of acting like a dick as everybody else, and of course for any future relationship of theirs it's good to know for both of them that they can work through something like this.
