Same here, Dean wins like all the awards for male characters. I just love him so much. *squishes Dean* I get putting Sam as this answer, because your totally right, we see more of grown up Sam first and he is interesting in those moments and they tell a lot about him (and totally convince me of him and Jessica and that people should ship it) but Dean still wins. I fell in like with Sam first. I fell in love with Dean afterwards. (I would have gladly put Sam somewhere else on the list, and talked about my love of Sam more, but there were more pieces spread about. I do love me some Sam. And I don't know how people don't.) Also, Bobby is a good answer. But I watched from the pilot and he didn't show up until the very end of season one.
Dean probably is my baby too, he's my guy and he's who I always want more of. But at the same time he has a huge fanbase of his own, so I don't feel the need to be so protective of him in comparison. Bela has those who love her and those who loath her (and totally don't understand her imo) and very few people inbetween. Which is why I appricate that even though she's not one of your favorites you still enjoy her/enjoy her place in the narrative. And yes, the boys defenitely need to be bested sometimes. Who better than Bela to do it?
Yep, I think the show has either gotten lost in the ideas of what they can do with the angels and how awesome it is to play with them/what they represent them as. Or they've just...gotten lost. IDK. There was some really awesome stuff done with them and I love a lot of what they did, stuff that would only work if they included the angels. But IDK, maybe they needed less angels or more breaks between angels or just more of an explanation. We get Castiel's POV often and we got some pretty good Anna POV (and some Uriel too) but most of the time it's just left up to interpretation. Or because of reasons. And if your going to go their I want the reasons.
OMG SOMEBODY THAT'S NOT ME WHO DOESN'T LOVE CROWLEY!!!! We really are brain twins or something. But yes, Crowley (as much as I like the actor) has never worked for me as the big bad type. He works really well as the 'take the opportunity' type, but not the big bad. And he's just constantly wedged into storylines and I just don't know if the writers just really love his character/the actor, so they keep him around. Or if they think the storylines are good (it's been going on so long it could go either way really). Either way, he's worn out his welcome for me, but I know they'll always be more of him.
LOL, was there any question who would win for the boys? Alona is a very good choice as well. I love her and she's all kinds of pretty. I always get excited when she shows up on my tv screen, even in old reruns of Veronica Mar's. She (and Matt Davis) were also pretty much the entire reason I watched Cult. (DUDE, I forgot both Ruby's. How wrong is that? They're both gorgous and should be listed.)
SEE TOTALLY LINKED. CROWLEY AND NOW THIS. But yes seriously, Ellen and Jo get me everytime, as does Bobby (and a few others Bela's death isn't shown but it makes me a little teary too), but nothing will ever beat the S2 finale with Sam's death. I like literally remember where I was watching it when it happened. That has to mean something. And it just, like you said, you can't watch it without bawling your eyes out and years later and Sammy's still alive and still makes me sad to think about. That's good writing/acting/broken hearted-ness causing on all their parts.
LOL, another answer the same. And I agree, I would say I'd want to be more like Sam than I actually am. If there was a category for who I want to be most like, it would probably be Sam. He's so much better at standing on his own two feet and able to move on from different problems/tragedies, and he got out and lived the life he wanted even if it was just temporary. He knew what he wanted. So he'd probably represent who I'd want to be more than who I am.
